SD Association reveals new Memory Card Design for fast Cards
The SD Association announced it has defined a new, dual-row pin memory card design achieving bus interface speeds of up to 300 megabytes per second for SDXC and SDHC devices and memory cards. It is fully backwards compatible, allowing equipped devices full use of any SD, SDHC and SDXC memory cards.

Toshiba to launch the world's fastest SDHC Memory Card
Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. and its parent company Toshiba Corporation announced the launch of 8GB, 16GB and 32GB SDHC UHS-I cards compliant with the SD Memory Card Standard Ver. 3.0 (SD 3.0), UHS104. According to a press release these new SD cards offer the world's fastest SDHC data read and write speeds. Toshiba also extended its industry leadership in memory card solutions by unveiling the world's first 4GB, 8GB and 16GB microSDHC UHS-I cards compliant with (SD 3.0), UHS50.

Tamron to release aberration correction Camera Raw plug-in for Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3
President and CEO of the optical equipment manufacturer Tamron Co. Ltd., Morio Ono, announced the release of their latest offering, an aberration correction function for Adobe Systems Incorporated's software. The lens profile provided by Tamron will be used to make the plug-in for digital image editing software, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Camera Raw and the function for photo management software, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.

Euronics with good results, new president
Euronics International, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Europe's largest buying group for consumer electronics and second largest consumer electronics retailer in Europe, has announced sales of Euro 14.1 billion (US-$ 18.2 billion) for the last fiscal year, 2 percent less than a year ago. According to a press release, the decline was mainly due to the economic downturn. Without special effects in Russia and Poland, the group realized a slight plus of 2 percent, while the overall market declined 10 percent. Euronics also announced it will introduce the first exclusive products under its own brand in 2011. Euronics International comprises 25 member buying groups in 29 countries, representing 6,300 business owners with more than 11,000 stores.
