UK Pension Plan to acquire Kodak’s Personalized Imaging and Document Imaging businesses
The drama’s happy ending?
In an equally unexpected and un- precedented move, Eastman Kodak Company announced April 29 it will spin off its Personalized Im- aging and Document Imaging businesses to the UK Kodak Pension Plan (KPP), the company’s largest creditor, for cash and non-cash consideration of US-$ 650 million. The agreement also settles approximately US-$ 2.8 billion of claims by KPP against Kodak and certain of its affiliates. The day after, Eastman Kodak Company filed its plan of reorganization and dis- closure statement with the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. As a result, the company expects to emerge from Chapter 11 restructuring by the end of the third quarter.......
