Digility celebrates its second Edition
July 5 - 6, 2017, the second edition of Digility,  Europ’s largest conference and expo for digital realities, will take place at the congress Centre North of Koelnmesse, Cologne, Germany. After last year’s successful premiere with 1,000 international attendees from 32 countries and 70+ speakers covering new developments and rapidly growing digital markets, the event will focus on topics such as augmented and virtual reality, mixed reality, wearable computing, 360° imaging, 3D developments and artificial intelligence. Investor group acquires Polaroid
PLR IP Holdings, LLC, the owner of the legendary Polaroid brand and related intellectual property, has been acquired by a group of investors led by the Smolokowski family, who also owns the majority of The Impossible Project, which has revitalized the production of original Polaroid format instant film. According to a press release, the new owners acquired 100% of the shares, effective May 5, 2017, from the Pohlad family, Gordon Brothers, Hilco Global and others. The lead investor in the new ownership group, Wiaczeslaw (Slava) Smolokowski, is a Polish businessman and investor with holdings in the energy, biotech and real estate sectors.
