Fujifilm recipient Intertech Technology Award
Fujifilm North America Corporation announced that its Graphic Systems Division has earned an InterTech Technology Award from Printing Industries of America for its ZAC Automated Controller Technology found in its FLH-Z Processor. Fujifilm received one of six awards all awarded to technologies which have been deemed as truly innovative and expected to have a major impact on the graphic communications industry.

Imaging Solutions appoints new CEO
Ralph Bayer was appointed new CEO of Imaging Solutions, Regensdorf, Switzerland, the spezialist in digital high-speed photofinishing solutions for industrial imaging service providers. In this position, Bayer succeeds Rainer Bauer, who was CEO of the company since it was established in spring 2003. Bauer remains with Imaging Solutions as Chairman of the Board and sole shareholder and has taken over the newly established position of Chief Visionary Officer (CVO).

HP names Ahmed Mahmoud Senior Vice President of Global Information Technology
HP announced it has named Ahmed Mahmoud senior vice president in Global Information Technology at HP, effective immediately. Mahmoud will report to Randy Mott, executive vice president and chief information officer at HP. Sony helps Africa combat the spread of AIDS
The project "Public Viewing in Africa" partnership between Sony Corporation, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) brought 26 World Cup matches to 24,000 people living in Cameroon and Ghana. The viewings launched an AIDS-awareness campaign aiming to bring health information to vulnerable communities in these countries, and contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
