Epson America announced an agreement with Royal Philips Electronics that will help pair Epson ink jet printers and WorkForce all-in-ones, designed specifically for business environments, with Philips ultrasound medical imaging systems in healthcare clinics and hospitals in the U.S. and around the world, wherever Epson printers are available.

Neenah Paper reports 2010 second quarter results
Neenah Paper, Inc. today reported income from continuing operations in the second quarter of 2010 of $0.41 per diluted common share compared to a loss of $0.58 per share in the second quarter of 2009. Prior year results included a charge of $0.79 per share associated with closing the company’s Ripon, California fine paper mill.

Agfa announced that H.K. Graphics of Everett, MA, made the strategic decision to diversify its product offerings and capabilities in the midst of last year's economic downturn. Over the course of its thirty-five year run, the company has always remained in tune with the needs of its customer base and the marketplace at large. Early in 2009 as the global economic crisis loomed, management felt in order to expand sales and grow the business, they needed to integrate new technology. They also believed that a pathway to sustainable success required H.K. Graphics to keep more jobs in house, offer new services to customers and aggressively target new markets.

Fujifilm with profit in the first quarter
Fujifilm Holdings Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, has announced sales of Yen 547.4 billion (US-$ 6.39 billion/Euro 4.83 billion), a plus of 9.0 percent compared with the same period last year. The operating income soared 567.5 percent to Yen 50.5 billion (US-$ 589 million/Euro 445 million), the net income reached Yen 36.35 billion (US-$ 424 million/Euro 321 million) compared with a loss of Yen 1.42 billion (US-$ 17 million/Euro 13 million) in the year-ago quarter.

Sony World Photography Awards at photokina
